Camper Spotlight
Draven GreenwellDraven Greenwell is one of our amazing campers who raised $500.00 to donate to Camp Hendon by having yard sales and selling items on craigslist!
This cool kid was diagnosed with diabetes when he was 10 years old and has attended camp for 3 years. Draven's favorite thing about camp is seeing the friends he has made that live all over Kentuckiana that also have T1D. |
Victoria StoneVictoria Stone is our first Penny War fundraiser and she AMAZED us when she raised $1,595.00 for Camp Hendon with the help of her school mates at Taylor County Elementary School!
Victoria was diagnosed at age 2. Last year was her first year to come to camp and she loved it! She said her favorite things were playing GaGa Ball and making new friends. |
Rachel StillwellRachel Stillwell is an inspiring young lady who has started her own business at the age of 15 by making and selling Tie Dye'd socks. Rachel is donating part of her proceeds to a non-profit and Camp Hendon was blessed to be a recipient of a $1528.00 donation!
Not only does she donate a portion to a worthy cause, she also gives a pair of Tie Dye'd socks to newly diagnosed T1D at Norton Children's Hospital. This sweet girl was diagnosed at the age of 3 and as you can tell it has not held her back. She is always smiling, laughing and ready for a new adventure. 2017 will be Rachel's 4th year for camp and she already has plans to return as a counselor. If you would like to purchase a pair of socks you can visit Rachel's FB page. |
